Heat proof filing cabinets are similar to fireproof cabinets: double walled, non-combustible insulating material is located between the two walls, in the doors there is a material which swells by heat and prevents the air entering the cabinet. The difference is that the insulating material prevent only few hundred degrees and does not have a third party certification.
